To ensure the safety of imported goods, many countries require importers/exporters to engage third-party inspection and certification agencies for pre-shipment inspection. Failure to provide required certificates may result in fines at the destination port. Different target markets and product categories require different certifications and standards. CE Certification
The "CE" mark is a safety certification symbol, regarded as a passport for manufacturers to enter the European market. It is a mandatory mark for products freely circulating in the EU. With complete product documentation, a CE certificate can typically be obtained within 1-3 months.
3
COC Certificate
COC (Certificate of Conformity). To ensure import quality and prevent unsafe/substandard products, many countries require a COC issued by a third-party agency after testing/inspection, confirming compliance with national standards. Without it, goods may face high fines at destination. Examples include Nigeria (SONCAP), Kenya, Tanzania, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, etc. Note: Not all products require a COC; it depends on the destination country and its regulations for the specific product.
4
SABER Certification
This is Saudi Arabia's Conformity Assessment Program for non-Saudi manufacturers (exporters). It is an upgraded system replacing the old SASO certification.

Note: Since January 15, 2020, SABER has fully replaced SASO for customs clearance. Products are categorized by risk (high/medium/low), undergo different conformity procedures, and require a PC (Product Certificate) first (valid for one year), followed by an SC (Shipment Certificate) for each shipment consignment.
